It’s been a year since Bernie Wolfe promised that she’d wait for Serena “for eternity”. It’s been exactly half a year since the exact opposite of that happened, and Bernie and Serena broke up over bins and slippers and swings.
Where will Berena be a year from now, or even six months? We don’t know. But here’s one thing we do know—that while it was good, it was absolutely fantastic.
To celebrate all that Berena was, and may even be in the future, we ask all Berena fans—whether you agree with #BerenaDeservedBetter’s campaign methods and goals or not—to join us in the #BerenaForEternity Postcard Campaign.
We may not agree on everything, but there is one thing we definitely agree on: that Bernie and Serena were a very special couple, and Jemma Redgrave and Catherine Russell crafted that relationship beautifully on screen.
How to participate:
To participate in the #BerenaForEternity Postcard Campaign, all you need to do is send postcards—snail mail postcards addressed to Holby City via the BBC, or electronic postcards by email or via social media.
All postcards should have the #BerenaForEternity hashtag to show the producers of Holby City that whatever our differences, we’re united in celebrating what Berena once promised us.
At the end of the month, we’ll will make an electronic showcase of the postcards to display and share. (The exact details TBD. If you have any ideas, please use the comments form to let us know.)
Of course, feel free to send postcards without contributing to the showcase or without using the hashtag. If you don’t use the hashtag, we’ll assume you don’t want us to include your postcard.
If you’re sending snail mail postcards, please scan or photograph them, and email a copy to berenadeservedbetter [at] outlook [dot] com; if you’re sending them electronically, do mail us a copy anyway, or tag us on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr.
